The first decision that you need to make is about the type of treatment that is best suited to your current needs. You can always change your mind during treatment. Research tells us that most people try several different routes through treatment during their personal journey, choosing one option, transitioning to another, leaving treatment and returning.

No Treatment

You may feel that treatment is not right for you right now; nevertheless, knowing your options is worthwhile in case you later change your mind. It is also important to remember that maintenance treatment can cut death risks by a factor of eight, improve mental and physical health and reduce other drug use, criminal activity and the risk of depression or suicide.
